Box of Coins

Hello everyone! I got my box of pennies and box of nickels from the bank again. I opened them and the rolls look pretty good. I saw a lot of old and dirty looking pennies. Anyways, I will tell you how it went and come back during the weekend!

A Visit to my local coin shop

Hi guys! I thought I bought some good coins for a good price so this weekend's post is about the coins I bought from my local coin shop. Well this post is suppose to be last weeks post but I just didn't have time to finish this post. :(

The $1 and the $0.25 Box
In my local coin shop they have 2 boxes. The $1 box has a lot of old coins including American Coins. (Not silver though) The $0.25 box has a lot of old foreign coins but the only American coins you can find would be heavily worn V nickels and if you're lucky, you can find some heavily worn Indian Head cents.

$0.25 Box

I bought a Japanese 10 Sen coin dating back to Taisho 12(1923) from the $0.25 box
I believe this side is the Reverse

I believe this side is the Obverse

That's all for the $0.25 box

I bought a 1909 Wheat penny which in my opinion is a good price for something very old and rare also the condition is good and this coin can go up to $75 depending on the condition.

Reverse

A 1895 Indian Head penny. It is in good condition. Well sort of.

Reverse

An Australian 3 pence George V with the reverse side missing. (AKA The Blank Planchet) I am not sure what year it is but all I know for sure is that this coin was minted between 1911-1936. Unfortunately I don't really know much about Australian currency. :(

A 1906 Indian Head Penny. In my opinion, the condition of this coin would be XF. (Extra Fine) Everything on the coin is legible.

When I first got this coin, I didn't even know anything about except that it is old. So I found some information about it and this coin has 19 percent silver in it and the rest is copper. Also this coin is made in Poland. I was surprised because I would think the employees at the coin shop would check each coin. The coin is very brown and is hard to tell if there is even silver in it. The minimum value for this coin would be $8.

That's all for the $1 box

The last thing I bought from the coin shop would be the 1854 Seated liberty Quarter (with arrows) and the 1911 S Barber Quarter. I honestly think I made a mistake on buying the Seated Liberty Quarter because its so flattened and is hard to see the details. I should of saved my money and buy a better Seated Liberty Quarter that cost's a little more and something I will be more happy with.
